What does it cost to start?
Nothing. The current Lite plan is free, and pricing is visible before any billing begins.
How do storage limits work?
Hosted storage counts uploaded profile photos, gallery media, documents, and record images across the family accounts you own. The current allowance for each plan is shown above; collaborator-only families use the owner’s workspace quota.
Is person import/export included on the free plan?
Yes. Hosted Lite includes customizable person exports in CSV or JSON and complete ZIP backups, and the higher plans inherit them through Everything in Lite. Existing record CSV transfers remain included too.
Can I move persons to another family account?
Yes. The hosted persons importer maps source families and trees to writable destinations, previews duplicate handling, and keeps relationship restoration off until you explicitly enable it.
What happens if a paid subscription expires?
You keep access for three weeks while Racinage reminds you to renew. After that grace period, record access and public share links are paused until renewal.
Is my family data private?
Yes. Everything is private by default. You decide what - if anything - to share through controlled public links.
Is there a free offline app?
Yes. Racinage Free for Windows is an open-source local Lite Free app for one user and one family workspace. Hosted sync and sharing require a paid plan.
Can I invite other relatives to help?
Yes. Invite helpers and set permissions per person. Their own plan quota is separate from the family accounts where they only collaborate.
How does switching between families work?
You can switch into any family where you are the owner, manager, or collaborator. Creation limits count only the family accounts you personally own.
How is Wedding Planner included?
Lite includes one lifetime owner-created wedding with all manual planning tools, exports, and email delivery. Paid plans add owner-created wedding and configured AI, WhatsApp, and SMS allowances. Collaborators may join unlimited owner-funded weddings without using their own quota.
How is Finance Manager included?
Every plan includes all manual Finance Manager features, imports, calculations, reconciliation, reports, and exports. Lite and Windows Free include one owned workspace with generous record limits. Paid plans raise ownership and collaboration allowances; invited workspaces use the owner’s quota.
How is NameGen included?
NameGen is completely free on every plan and is installed separately for each personal account. The hosted version includes collaborative Baby Projects and community features; Racinage Free for Windows can install the private offline companion with solo projects and no hosted community.
Do paid plans include premium plugin features?
Yes. Every active paid plan can use premium plugin features. Each publisher defines and enforces separate usage limits for each Racinage plan.
